Any recommendations in the $5-$30 range? Seriously guys, every universal remote I've bought "sort of" works or doesn't at all. It needs to work on pretty well all DVD players so I can continue watching animu pl0x. ;.; Pic related, it's possibly the most awesome universal remote ever.
You know those satellite and cablebox universal remotes that they have? Usually you can hustle one pretty easily at goodwills and stuff. Pretty good.
http://venturebeat.com/2009/01/01/android-netbooks-on-their-way-likely-by-2010/ >The image above shows a netbook Asus EEEPC 1000H running on Google’s mobile operating system Android. Huh? You thought Android was for mobile phones, right? Well, as we’ve written before, Google is planning to use Android for any device — not just the mobile phones.

Apple is a great company, and they sell an excellent product. A common argument against this is that they are expensive considering the hardware it is running on. Everyone knows that the PC product model and the Apple product model are not at all similar! Apple is not selling hardware, they are selling a hardware/software package. This means that the OEM can deal with bugs faster, communicate with customers in a more effective manor, and release bleeding edge technology seamlessly! Apple made the MP3 player what it is today, they invented firmware, and they have created an extremely marketable desktop BSD. I would love to see Microsoft, *nix, or any other company to do what apple has done for technology! pic unrelated
Aaaaand I have it back.
>>74 How is it now?

Everyone please place your free software suggestions here. Please specify what it does and for what operating system it is for. Once we have generated a decent list, we will keep a dropdown for all of it at the top of /g/. Thank you for your participation.

So far, I've found that the easiest ones to port are 4chan themes, though some original ones would be awesome as well. Stylish allows you to superimpose your own themes to certain websites, and I have just made the first ever IMG theme for Kusaba. Install Stylish: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2108 Then, try my theme: http://userstyles.org/styles/11545 Going to port more and get better at it, then probably make originals for IMG. :3
what do you mean you just made the first ever IMG theme? Motherland Futon Postyle Semple all are made custom for IMG. sheesh

http://userstyles.org/styles/12008 I just ported another 4chan theme. When I get better with the code, I'll try to make an original. :3
It's been a while since i've posted here, but whatever... question: what do you guys use to download the musack? I used to use limewire, but that's crap, and googling for music doesn't always work. suggestions?
On the contrary, Googling for music works quite well. http://www.marcandangel.com/2006/10/13/turn-google-into-napster-2000/ But really, it depends on what kind of music you're looking for. If you're looking for an album, you might be able to find direct download links, but torrenting is a safe bet. Individual songs not so much, but depending on how well-known the song is (and how good your luck is) you'll might find a copy.
This is a tech board, but can we do weapons tech?
